Steadfast Machine Works is a precision machining shop (located in Shamong, NJ) built on a simple premise: engineers need a manufacturing partner who actually speaks their language. Founded by Aleksandr Spiridonov, Steadfast bridges the gap between rigorous design engineering and practical, high-quality part realization.
Rooted in Metrology and the Shop Floor
My foundation in manufacturing didn't start in a cubicle; it started on the shop floor. I began my career in a machine shop reverse-engineering complex turbine and large valve components. That hands-on work in inspection and metrology instilled an uncompromising respect for tight tolerances, precise measurement, and the physical realities of cutting metal.
The Design Engineering Perspective
Holding a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, I have spent years sitting on the exact same side of the CAD screen that you do.
Precision & Prototyping: As a Mechanical Engineer at Dialight, I handled the mechanical design of optical components, complex fixtures, and lighting enclosures—taking products from initial CNC prototypes all the way through to high-volume injection molding, sand casting, and die casting. This work, which led to co-inventing two patents, taught me the critical importance of Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Heavy Industrial R&D: Later, as a Mechanical and R&D Engineer at Inductotherm, I designed large industrial equipment, including large-scale induction furnaces and heaters.
When you send a CAD file to Steadfast, it isn't just being fed into a CAM processor. It is being reviewed by someone who knows exactly why a specific geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) callout matters to the success of your final assembly.
